AnimRealm is an anime database portal that lets you discover trending anime, track upcoming releases, manage a personal watchlist library, and read community comments.
Is AnimRealm free to use?
Yes. AnimRealm is completely free. You can browse trending and upcoming anime without an account. Creating an account unlocks the personal library and comment features.
Does AnimRealm support multiple languages?
Yes. AnimRealm supports 40 languages — including English, Russian, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, plus Uzbek, Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Armenian, Ukrainian and many more across Europe, Asia and the post-Soviet region. Switch anytime from the language selector in the top navigation bar, and all UI text — plus anime titles — updates instantly.
How do I add anime to my watchlist?
Click the + Watchlist or + Add button on any anime card. Once logged in, the item is saved to your personal library under the "Plan To Watch" tab. You can then move it to Watching, Completed, or Dropped.
How do I change the theme?
Click the ◐ Theme button in the top navigation bar to cycle between Dark, Light, and Amethyst (purple) themes. Your preference is saved locally and restored on your next visit.
Can I watch anime episodes on AnimRealm?
No. AnimRealm is a discovery and tracking portal, not a streaming site. It helps you find what to watch, follow airing schedules, and manage your watchlist — you then watch on your preferred legal streaming service.
Where does AnimRealm get its data?
Live data comes from trusted public anime APIs — AniList and MyAnimeList (Jikan). That is why trending lists, airing schedules, and episode dates stay up to date automatically every day.
What are donghua, manhwa, and manhua?
Donghua is Chinese animation, manhwa is Korean comics and webtoons, and manhua is Chinese comics. AnimRealm has dedicated trending rails for each, plus Japanese manga and web & light novels.
Does my watchlist sync across devices?
For now, your library, ratings, and preferences are saved locally on the device you use. Cross-device sync will arrive once the optional cloud account backend is enabled.
Can I install AnimRealm as an app?
Yes. AnimRealm is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On mobile or desktop, use your browser's “Add to Home Screen” or “Install” option to launch it like a native app, with cached pages available offline.
Do I need an account to comment or vote?
You can read all comments and polls without an account. To post a comment, reply to others, create or vote in polls, or rate anime, just sign in with a free account. Signing in links your activity to your profile and lets you delete your own posts.
Will I be notified when someone replies to my comment?
Replies appear nested directly under the original comment. AnimRealm does not yet send push notifications, mentions, or email alerts for replies, so you will see new replies the next time you open that anime's page. A reply and mention notification system is planned for a future update.
Can I edit or delete my comments and polls?
You can delete any comment or poll you created using the delete button shown on your own posts. Deleting a poll also removes its votes. You can only remove your own content, never anyone else's.
What are community polls and how do I vote?
On the Vote page, signed-in users can create polls and vote on ones made by the community. Each account gets one vote per poll, and poll creators can delete their own polls at any time.
How do I rate an anime?
Open any anime's detail page and tap the stars to give it a rating. Your rating is saved and shown next to the title, alongside the live MyAnimeList score.
Is my account and data secure?
Yes. Accounts are handled by Supabase authentication, and the database is protected with Row-Level Security, so each user can only create or delete their own comments, polls, and votes.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Open the Contact page from the navigation menu and send us a message. We read every report and suggestion and use them to prioritize what we build next.
